Welcome!

Thank you for expressing an interest in joining the American Women’s Club of Bombay (AWC). As a member of the AWC, you are entitled to participate in all our social functions. These include our regular coffee mornings, interesting talks by guest speakers, annual events at Thanksgiving and Christmas, support groups such as the mothers group, book club and many other functions, outings and events held throughout the year.

Upon joining, members will receive a welcome pack with a copy of the membership directory, the latest newsletter and further information about the club. The club newsletter is published monthly and is mailed to members. It is also available online in the member's only section of this website.

Who can join?

.Membership has two categories:

Regular Members - Women 18 years old or over who are citizens of the United States of America or citizens of Canada, for the time being residing in Bombay, or women 18 years or over, of any citizenship, who are married to a citizen of the United States of America or a citizen of Canada, for the time being residing in Bombay, shall be entitled to become regular members.

Associate Members - Other expatriate women, 18 years or over, who actively support the aims and objectives of the Club, are eligible to become associate members. Associate members have all the rights of regular members except that they cannot be elected to the offices of President or Deputy President.

The membership year starts April 1 and fees for 2007 are currently set at the following

New members Rs 600
New members Rs 300 (September - March)
Renewal Rs 400
