In joining the sisterhood of the AWC you join an amazing and diverse group of expat women like yourself. Among the AWC membership we count Moms, lawyers, designers, realtors, and entrepreneurs to name a few. They are active in their children’s schools, volunteers at myriad charities, play bridge, golf and mahjong, and get together at Coffee Mornings to gab and giggle. They dance, they paint, they sing, they shop. Well, you get the picture.
The AWC’s history in Mumbai is long and varied. Its purpose then as now was and is to bring women together in friendship and support.The AWC fills that role for we newcomers to this foreign land. All of us have been newcomers at some point and we’ve found friends and help within the AWC.
We encourage you to join one of our committees: Social, which helps plan events for the members, Charity, or Coffee Mornings . We do encourage our members to give us suggestions or ideas and to get involved with the AWC.
With your membership comes a monthly copy of our magazine, Western Express and you will be invited to all AWC sponsored events.
Remember the AWC is only as good as it’s members and we have the best !
